Paul Magarelli, MD, PhD
Topic: PCOS Treatment Strategy: Western Perspectives
Dr. Paul Magarelli is a highly experienced, double-board certified Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility Specialist currently practicing at Kindbody in Denver, CO. He has been in private practice building families through Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART) for more than 25 years. Dr. Magarelli achieved national acclaim for integrating acupuncture into fertility medicine. He is known for his low IVF fees, providing patients with high-quality fertility treatment at nearly half the cost of other centers.

Angeline Beltsos, MD
Topic: The role of Integrative Reproductive Medicine in Private Equity IVF Practices
Angeline N. Beltsos, MD is CEO, Clinical at Kindbody. Dr. Beltsos is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility. Prior to joining Kindbody, Dr. Beltsos was CEO and Chief Medical Officer for Vios Fertility Institute – a network of fertility clinics throughout Chicago, St. Louis, Milwaukee, Detroit and Portland.
Dr. Beltsos completed medical school at Michigan State University, and then went on to do her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Loyola University in 1995. Following this, she completed a fellowship in REI at Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri, completed in 1997. She has received numerous awards and is a popular speaker, both nationally and internationally, and a frequent media resource on the topic of infertility.
Dr. Beltsos is the executive chairperson for the Midwest Reproductive Symposium International, an international conference of fertility experts. She continues to educate and mentor REI doctors and students of all stages of education and currently serves as an Assistant Professor, Obstetrics and Gynecology at Wayne State University, Division Director of the Wayne State Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility Division, and as Fellowship Director of the Wayne State Reproductive Endocrinology program.

Lorne Brown, Dr.TCM, RAc
Topic: Laser Technology in Reproductive Health
Dr. Lorne Brown is the Clinical Director of Acubalance Wellness Centre, and the of Founder Pro D Seminars, Medigogy and the Integrative Fertility Symposium.
After a career as a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA), Lorne received his Doctor of Traditional Chinese Medicine at Vancouver’s International College of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Lorne has extensive postgraduate training in gynecology, obstetrics, and reproductive medicine. In 2012, Lorne published the Acubalance Fertility Diet which is made available for free through the Acubalance website.
Internationally known for his pioneering work as an educator and advocate for integrated fertility care, Lorne was the first Canadian to be a certified fellow of the American Board of Oriental Reproductive Medicine (ABORM).
Dr. Brown has successfully integrated his entrepreneurial skills and background as a CPA with his passion for Chinese Medicine establishing a very successful fertility practice (Acubalance.ca) and pioneering online continuing education through Pro D Seminars and Medigogy.com as well as the Integrative Fertility Symposium (www.ifsymposium.com) for Chinese Medicine Practitioners world wide.

Shaoting Jing, L.Ac, MMD, PhD
Topic: Postpartum Care in Chinese Medicine
Dr. Shaoting Jing received her Bachelor’s degree in Chinese Medicine from Gansu University of Traditional Chinese Medicine in 1984. She then began her fellowship training under Dr. Zhang Ren Yi, a renowned 7th generation OB/Gyn Doctor of Chinese Medicine, where she gained valuable clinical experience in treating patients with infertility and various gynecological disorders. In 1991, Dr. Jing received her Master’s degree in Chinese Medicine and her MD in Western Medicine from Beijing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, specializing in auto-immune disorders and endocrinology.
After moving to Los Angeles in 1992, Dr. Jing started her private acupuncture practice focusing on Women’s health, infertility, longevity care, and immunology. In 2006, Dr. Jing received her PhD in Traditional Chinese Medicine at American Liberty University with a specialization in Women’s Health. Dr. Jing also serves as an adjunct faculty and visiting clinical faculty member at Yo San University.

Mao Shing Ni, PhD, DOM, LAc
Topic: PCOS Treatment Strategy: TCM Perspectives
A bestselling author, expert on longevity medicine, and co-founder of Yo San University, Dr Mao lectures on Chinese medicine, wellness and longevity around the world. Dr. Mao began his studies in Chinese medicine with his father, Hua-Ching Ni, a renowned Taoist master, physician and author-teacher. After earning his OMD and PhD in Oriental Medicine with an emphasis in Nutrition, Dr. Mao went on to complete his postgraduate residency at Shanghai Medical University in China.
Dr. Mao has appeared extensively in national media in his tireless efforts to further the recognition of acupuncture and Chinese medicine. He has also written the national bestseller Secrets of Longevity and the recently published Secrets of Self-Healing and Second Spring, as well as a respected translation of the Yellow Emperor’s Classic of Medicine.

Peter Harvey, LAc, MSOM, FABORM, MBA
Topic: Endometriosis Treatment Strategies in Traditional Chinese Medicine
Peter Harvey is founder and owner of Eastern Healing Inc. an acupuncture and traditional Chinese medicine clinic specializing in the treatment of fertility, women’s health and pain with two offices located in the western and southern suburbs of Chicago. Peter became interested in TCM while working in the corporate world as a G.M. for Morton Salt. He graduated from Midwest College of Oriental Medicine in Chicago, IL, Summa Cum Laude with Master of Science in Traditional Chinese Medicine.
Peter collaborates with medical doctors and other medical professionals throughout the greater Chicago area. He regularly receives referrals from physicians in the area who are awakening to the complimentary role that Eastern and Western medical approaches can have in supporting the needs of the patient with an “integrated team” approach to treating the individual.
He began apprenticing in Salt Lake City with over 2500 clinical hrs. and later travelled to Tian Jin China and studied at the First Teaching Hospital. Peter went on to graduate Summa Cum Laude from Midwest College of Oriental Medicine and has been able to incorporate his past business skills with his current profession turning Eastern Healing inc. into one of the largest clinics for reproduction in the U.S. Peter is a Fellow with the American Board of Oriental Reproductive Medicine (FABORM),Nationally Board Certified in Acupuncture (NCCAOM),and past chair of complimentary and integrative medicine special interest group (CIMSIG). He is a frequent lecturer at the American Society of Reproductive Medicine (ASRM), and has a strong collaborative relationship with many reproductive and OB/GYN clinics throughout the Chicago area. He is also a member of the Fertile Soul Clinical Excellence in Fertility Program (CEFP). Peter Graduated with an MBA in marketing from Dominican University.

Diane K. Cridennda, LAc
Topic: Ovarian Hyperstim
Diane K. Cridennda graduated from the International Institute of Chinese Medicine in 1995 with her Masters of Oriental Medicine degree. She trained in Beijing, China to explore the root of this ancient healing art. She is NCCAOM certified, licensed in Colorado and is a member of Resolve, a national infertility support group. She has also had extensive training in Traditional Chinese Herbal Medicine. She has been a competative Triathlete for more than 22 years and is passionate about performance enhancement and sports medicine. She has lectured all over the world on the Integration of Acupuncture and high tech fertility.
Diane recently published a chapter for a Western text book reporting on her 7 years of research in the field of fertility; “Infertility and Assisted Reproduction”. Cambridge University press.

Carol King, LAc
Topic: Food, Formulas and Fertility
Carol King received her Masters of Science in Oriental Medicine from Dongguk University. Carol has over 20 years of experience in healthcare from pharmaceutical research with Allergy & Ashthma Medical Group and Research Center in San Diego in 1999 to didactic, hospital and clinic training in Western Medicine at UCLA, Doctors Hospital, Napa State Mental Hospital, USC/LAC Hospital and in private clinics from New York and Boston to California as well as in Eastern Medicine with an externship at USC and Dongzhimen, Tongren and Zhejiang Hospitals in China. Carol received Osteopathic Medical training at Touro University College of Osteopathic Medicine from 2004-2008, which included hospital rotations in Internal Medicine and Primary Care at Doctors Hospital in Richmond, California. She also did a Psychiatry rotation at Napa State Mental Hospital in 2007.

Duncan Macdonald, LAc
Topic: Functional Medicine and Reproductive Health
Duncan Macdonald is a licensed acupuncturist and Functional medicine practitioner with over 16 years of clinical experience. He graduated with his Masters of Science in Traditional Chinese Medicine from American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine in 1999. In 2003 Duncan Macdonald co-founded Secara, a professional integrative medicine products company. He has advanced training in orthopedic medicine under the National Board of Acupuncture Orthopedics and sits on the board of the National Board of Acupuncture and Internal Medicine.
Duncan has completed the advanced curriculum of Balance Method acupuncture with Dr. Richard Tan and pulse diagnosis under Dr. Jimmy Chang. He is certified in the Kalish Method of Functional medicine. He participates in a weekly call to discuss cases with Dr. Kalish and other leaders in the Functional Medicine community.

Maureen Rozenn, DAOM, LAc, FABORM
Topic: The Endocannabinoid System and Fertility: Current Research and Clinical Guidelines
Dr. Maureen Rozenn has been helping women become pregnant for over two decades. After attaining a doctoral dual specialization in women’s health and pain management, she went on to become the first female DAOM to become a fellow of the Acupuncture and TCM Board of Reproductive Medicine. Dr. Rozenn authored a book on fertility and co-authored several research studies examining the effects of different acupuncture protocols on IVF outcomes. She has enjoyed teaching the amazing field of integrative fertility to doctoral students since 2010. Dr. Rozenn blends Classical Chinese theory with Kiiko Matsumoto Style acupuncture and functional medicine to enable her patients to reach their health goals.
Cannabis is legal in many states and countries around the world. However, research into the role of the endocannabinoid system in fertility, pregnancy and lactation is in its infancy. This complex system was discovered in the early 1990’s and is a mystery to many medical providers. We will elucidate the role and function of the endocannabinoid system and the impact of phytocannabinoids on male and female fertility. In addition, current research on the role of phytocannabinoids in gestation, the postpartum era, and the potential impact of cannabis on future generations will be discussed.

Laura Erlich LAc, FABORM
Topic: The Yin and Yang of Implantation: Uterine Immunology and Energetics
After graduating summa cum laude from Emperor’s College of Traditional Oriental Medicine, Laura Erlich, LAc. founded a progressive holistic medicine practice in Southern California, specializing in gynecology, infertility, IVF support, conscious conception and prenatal care. Now, with over two decades experience as a leading practitioner in the Los Angeles birthing community, she continues to guide women to optimal wellness in her roles as an acupuncturist, herbalist, author, instructor, mentor and group leader.
Well versed in the modalities of integrative, allopathic and functional medicine, the heart of Laura’s practice is rooted in the beauty and complexity of classical and traditional Chinese medicine. It is through this lens that she treats each patient, facilitating balance and harmony in the body, mind and spirit, fostering optimal wellness. Catherine DeUgarte, MD
Topic: Maximizing the Reproductive Potential of Cancer Patients and Survivors
Catherine DeUgarte, MD is a highly recognized and experienced specialist in the treatment of infertility with more than 12 years of experience and thousands of healthy babies born.
She completed her combined BA/MD program at the Boston University School of Medicine and graduated as a physician in 1998. She then travelled to the West Coast where she completed an OBGYN residency at UCLA and a combined fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at UCLA/Cedars Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles in 2005. She then joined the Henry Ford Medical Group in Detroit and held a position as a senior staff physician in the REI division. In 2007 she returned to Los Angeles where she worked as an assistant Medical Director at PFCLA.
Her desire for personalized and caring approach to patients and infertility, propelled her to opening up her own practice CMD Fertility in August 2015.
Dr. DeUgarte is a member of several prestigious organizations in the field, including:

Jamie Boyd, DAOM, LAc
Topic: Reception: The Poetry of the Bao Zhong, Mai, and Luo in Reproductive Medicine
Dr. Jamie Boyd is a free-spirited mother of two radiant kiddos and the owner of Whole Family Wellness Center. She has been in clinical practice and family medicine since 2006. She earned her MSTOM in 2006 and her DAOM in 2021. Jamie has an unending curiosity about medicine and healing. She has a deep love of Classical Chinese Medicine and current allopathic medicine. In her practice, she rests in both worlds and calls upon the wisdom of both systems to inspire fresh perspectives and treatments for her patients. She deeply respects allopathic diagnostic technology and Classical Chinese Medicine’s logic and 3000-year-old treatment strategies. She integrates both to help support the healing process using acupuncture and traditional herbal medicine.
Her practice is a dynamic family practice. She treats all ages from 1 day old to 110 years old. From 2002-2008, she was a homebirth Midwife Assistant for a busy midwifery practice and has attended over 50 homebirths. Her clinical rotations ranged from Rady’s Children’s Hospital in Oncology and pain management, San Diego Hospice, Gerontology Clinic, UCSD Gynecology and Pediatrics in TCM hospital in Chengdu Traditional Chinese Medicine University affiliated hospitals, China, and spent a fall semester in 2019 as a Wellness Coordinator and Western Medical Assistant for Carlton College Buddhist Studies Program in Bodhi Gaya, India.

Deb Davies, DACM, LAc
Topic: Confidently Treating Pregnancy with Chinese Medicine
Deb Davies, DACM, L.Ac., is a licensed acupuncturist, childbirth educator, and the founder and owner of PUSH San Diego in Hillcrest, CA. She empowers expectant couples by educating and equipping them with natural and integrative health care options. Over the course of her career, Deb has helped thousands of families in their childbirth journey, helping families overcome fertility obstacles, maintain a healthy full-term pregnancy, and prepare for an optimal birth experience. She also provides support during labor and birth with acupuncture, acupressure, and massage therapy, and is highly skilled in postpartum recovery care and optimizing C-section recovery time.

Daoshing Ni, PhD, DOM, LAc
Topic: Endometriosis Treatment: Western Medicine Perspective
Dr. Dao is a published author, educator, and a TCM practitioner well-known and respected for his special interest in reproductive medicine and gynecology. In 1989 he co-founded Yo San University of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Dr. Dao started his studies in Chinese medicine with his father, Hua-Ching Ni, at an early age.
After earning his OMD. and PhD in Oriental Medicine, he pursued advanced studies in internal medicine, gynecology, and pediatrics at both Beijing and Nanjing Colleges of Traditional Chinese Medicine in China. Dr. Dao is a member of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine, Pacific Coast Fertility Society, and American Association of Acupuncture & Oriental Medicine. An active faculty in the DAOM program at Yo San University, Dr. Dao is the author of Tao of Fertility and co-author of Sitting Moon: A Guide to Rejuvenation after Pregnancy.

The Yo San University Doctoral Program:
Integrative Reproductive Medicine
Our two year clinical doctorate specialty integrates advanced Western and Eastern diagnostics and treatment protocols for the effective management of women’s reproductive health. Program features include case-based learning, advanced herbal formula writing, practical demonstrations of acupuncture, physical exams for specific conditions, and collaboration with other healthcare professionals utilizing evidence-based practice and research methods.
The program is 1220 hours in length, composed of 570 didactic hours and 650 clinical hours. Courses are offered in a monthly modular format over a two-year period. If you’re interested in enhancing your clinical skills and deepening your knowledge of integrative reproductive medicine, Yo San is the place to do it.
