Excessive Menstrual Flow / Decreased Menstrual Flow

This class addresses two issues on menstrual irregularities. First, excessive menstrual flow, or menorrhagia, is defined as menstrual periods with abnormally heavy or prolonged bleeding. This can result in depletion and cause further conditions such as anemia. Etiology, diagnosis, and treatment strategies are discussed.

In the second part, decreased menstrual flow is defined as short or scanty periods with extremely light menstrual blood flow. Etiology, diagnosis, and treatment strategies are discussed. Both herbal therapy and acupuncture treatments are presented.

On completion of this class, the participant will:
• Learn the diagnosis and differentiation of syndromes in Excessive Menstrual Flow.
• Learn the diagnosis and differentiation of syndromes in Decreased Menstrual Flow.
• Learn the acupuncture and herbal clinical treatment protocol for both of these conditions.
